"From the very first track, it's obvious what SangKa adds to a quartet who doesn't use any strings; she brings a shimmer and lightness to the music, adding to the textures and colours. The instrument works well in music which has its grounding in Danish folk, with lightning little runs, and on the material composed to accomodate her, like "The American Chinese" or "The Groovy Guzheng Waltz", she shows herself quite firmly a part of the band. Even on traditional pieces like "De To Kongebørn" or "Vestervig" (the first part of which makes a perfect showcase for singer Karen Mose), the guzheng insinuates itself seamlessly ... It's an unlikely mix, but it works like a charm".
